Winners find ways

Almost a year a go I set the famous 1 million pesos goal before I turn 30. I'm turning 27 now. I was the only one earning and it was way below our needs. But I couldn't get rid of that million pesos thought. I knew deep down me I can do it. I searched on the internet for some tips how to save. There I learned how it should be done. SALARY-SAVINGS=EXPENSES. And that's how I did. I set aside a portion of my income. But because I was earning a very little amount I was able to save a very little amount too. I did the math and it would have taken me more than 4 years to reach my goal. I was so disappointed. I was running out of ways to achieve my goal. One time, I bumped onto aya laraya's blogs. My fellow investors surely know him. To those who don't just type his name on google. I learned about a lot of things. A whole new world has been opened up to me with regards to investing. Frugality and criticism

People who choose to save for rainy days usually get criticized. And that's not a problem. They only see the point of an iceberg. I have a first hand experience about it. I do not buy foods i can't afford and keep convincing myself i should not feel guilty about it because it is FOOD(ridiculousness at its finest). I do not eat out every week-end and feel good about it. Spending unnecessarily makes...

Set goals bigger than yourself

This is how these all started. After I gave birth to my son, our situation was unimaginable. I was the one "in-charge" in finances and my husband was a house-husband. I've had lots of headache thinking how to make ends meet but hey I was happy then. We lived way below the lifestyle I had when I was single. At first it didn't bother me. All my concern was to live within our means. My husband wasn't really contented of the idea of getting into debt to buy unnecessary things. He never wanted to buy anything. I would tell him sorry for not having enough money to live a fancy life and he would respond me "masaya ako kahit ganito lang tayo" with a smile on his face. We never argued about money. Perhaps this is the reason why I was genuinely happy. As days go by, my husband and I started to talk about our future plans, how we would like to buy ricelands someday, farm, build a house back home and why not a nice car. We started to dream. We would think of going ...
